Services

During your pregnancy i can help you answer questions you may have regarding your pregnancy and birth with evidence based information. During labor and birth I will help you cope with your contractions with position changes, use of a birth ball, massage, and other techniques. If you have a birth partner(s), and they would like, I can show them ways to support you as well. I will empower you to make informed decisions during your labor that are right for you and your family. doula support is not only beneficial to the birthing parent. I also support those friends or family you may have with you during the labor and birth as well.

Postpartum Support

if i supported you during your labor/birth, I will stick around after the birth for approximately 60 minutes to help with your baby's first feed should you desire and make sure you get settled before i leave. Once you are ready i can support you at home. helping with Infant care, helping with siblings, light cleaning (ex: baby's laundry or dishes), picking up groceries, or simply being there to keep you company should you need it, are also ways i can support you. Post partum care isn't just for families that received birth support, i offer postpartum only packages as well.

During your pregnancy I can teach, or refresh your swaddling, bathing, bottle/breastfeeding, and diapering skills. these are all things we can go over at one of your prenatal meetings. After baby is here, I can help you take care of your sweet baby should you and your partner desire help. Having extra support if you want it will allow you to have time to rest and recover. infant care is part of your postpartum support.
